Improvise Center



Improvise is a very popular Windows-based software program that creates algorithmic music direct to MIDI in real time, while allowing continuous control over various parameters affecting the music produced. You can play it as a virtual algorithmic instrument, use it as a compositional tool, or just turn it loose on your desktop for background music. The current version of Improvise includes extensive support for recording the program's live algorithmic output to MIDI files, so that you can not only save your otherwise irreproducible performances for future playback, but also use other MIDI tools to edit and further develop music produced by Improvise.
